In-town getaway with toddlers

We recently decided to make the best of our looooong MN spring season (and by spring, I mean a little closer to winter than summer!) and take the boys down to Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington.  The main room when you enter is super cozy with  large fireplace and couches, and the rooms are super cute with northwoods decor including suites with a little bunk-bed nook!  The boys were beyond excited as we made our way through the hallways and they saw all the cabin decor.  They were so pumped to see our room and jumped into the bunk beds right away!  One of the neat things here is you can start swimming in the waterpark before check-in time as well so if you do arrive early you can start the waterpark fun asap!

We really liked how much space there was to push our giant stroller in, since seriously that is one of the only ways to go when you have two littles close in age and so young!  We took advantage of a Sunday-Monday booking as well so the park was really calm.  There were super accessible life jackets in a variety of styles and sizes so that made this nervous Mommy feel a lot better.

After a few hours of water play and many rounds on the lazy river, which with a busy 1 year old doesn't feel all that "lazy" we got them up to the room for baths and jammies.  A fun option the lodge includes is a storytime with the staff and a character!  Our boys were pretty beat and up past the normal bedtime but we whisked them down for that part and they loved it!
We loved getting to experience a quick and fun getaway that didn't break the bank and was close to home.  It's so nice to have a place to go and forget about the rain or snow and just enjoy your family!  I can't wait to take them again!
