This child may not be yours geneticly, but you have babysat countless hours, or fostered, or just made a difference in their life.
It means you love so much it hurts.
It means you cry, often in secret becasue you try to be strong for the littles in your care.
It means you are tired. A down to the bone, doggone, worn-out kind of tired.
It means you do hard things.
It means intense happiness you cannot explain.
It means you would do anything possible to put a smile on your child's face, and to protect your child from harm.
It means you make hard choices in order to give your child what is best for them...even if it doesn't always make you or them feel good at the time.
